Cook/Aide prepares food according to standardized guidelines. Responsible for understanding the importance of proper food handling techniques, HACCP procedures, sanitation and safety polices, and good personal hygiene. Must be able to run a cash register efficiently. Must have flexibility to move from station to station within in the dietary department based on daily needs. A pleasant demeanor must be kept at all times. Experience in food service and production preferred. Must be able to lift a min. of 30 pounds and perform various physical duties. Scheduled hours are anticipated to be 67.5 hours per pay period; rotating shifts and holidays.
Daily cleaning and supplying of patient rooms, nurses stations, lounges, ancillary service areas, bathrooms, offices and any other area as assigned. Daily cleaning of floors and project cleaning of walls, lights, windows, etc. Collection, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distribution of all patient laundry excluding patient owned laundry. Hours and shifts are scheduled on a rotation basis based on the needs of the Hospital. This is a full-time position.
