The Radiology Department at Harrison Community Hospital is committed to providing timely, accurate, and safe diagnostic imaging services for patients.
DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING refers to the variety of technologies that physicians use to look inside the body to gather information. During the course of treatment, your physician may request tests to be performed by the Radiology Department. These tests are necessary to diagnose and evaluate your health and to assess the effects of your treatment.
Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, our Radiology Department is well equipped with the most modern facilities for routine x-ray examinations, as well as CT (computed tomography scanning) ultrasound, mammography, echocadiography, magnetic resonance imaging (MI) and nuclear medicine.
Your physician will consult with the radiologists about exams that are ordered and their results. These exams often require special preparation on your part, and some of them may be long and complicated, but we assure you that we will make your visit to radiology as comfortable and efficient as possible.
We offer every woman the opportunity for a more comfortable mammogram. The MammoPad® is a foam pad that serves as a cushion between the breast and the mammography system resulting in a softer, warmer mammogram. This technology does not compromise the image quality of an exam and actually aids in positioning the breast.
Look for the ACR Gold Standard: Harrison Community Hospital was awarded a three-year term of accreditation in mammography as the result of a recent review by the American College of Radiology (ACR). When you see the ACR gold seal of accreditation, you can rest assured that the facility will meet the highest level of patient safety standards and image quality.
