The Harrison Community Hospital Home Health Agency is fully accredited by The Joint Commission, Medicare Certified, and is owned and operated by the Harrison Community Hospital.
To receive Home Health services, you must meet the following guidelines:
Have a condition that requires the skill of a professional nurse or therapist.
Have difficulty leaving your home at will; require planning and preparation to leave for short, infrequent periods.
Be under the care of a physician.
Reside in the service area of Harrison, Belmont, Jefferson, Guernsey, Carroll or Tuscarawas County.
Referrals can be made by a physician, nurse, social worker, family member or by the person requesting service.
Nursing Care A nurse is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to: evaluate and report changes in blood pressure, pulse and temperature, give injections, treatment and care of wounds, medication instructions, colostomy care, home infusion, education of patients and families regarding health care and disease management.
Home Health Aide The Aide assists with personal care, washing hair, grooming, simple exercises and skin care.
Physical Therapy Physical Therapists evaluate functional limitations, develop and teach exercises and adaptive treatments, and assess the need for home equipment.
