Physical Therapy

Experienced physical therapy professionals are eager to serve those with orthopaedic, neuromuscular and vascular problems.  Modalities include heat pack, cold pack, whirlpool, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and exercise.

Specialty Clinic

Physicians representing various medical specialties maintain office hours in the Hospital’s Specialty Clinic.  Patients enjoy the convenience of consultation, diagnostic testing, and surgery (if needed) all in one location.  Specialties currently offered include: Cardiology, Podiatry, Urology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Pain Management, Adult Pulmonary Medicine, Sleep Breathing Disorders, Allergy, and Surgery.

Inpatient/Outpatient Services

Open 24 hours a day, the Emergency Room offers emergency care to the community and is staffed by qualified physicians and nurses at all times.  The Emergency Department also serves as an Outpatient Department where minor surgeries, physical exams and diagnostic testing are performed. The Surgical and Anesthesia team consist of skilled personnel and modern equipment necessary to maintain the highest standard of care. 

Cardio Pulmonary

Full-service cardiac and respiratory care including emergency procedures, diagnostic testing, cardiac rehabilitation, maintenance and treatment of both acute and chronic respiratory diseases.

Radiology

Diagnostic X-rays, Computerized Tomography Scanner (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine, Sonograms, and Mammography services are available.

Laboratory

CLIA Certified and under the direction of a Pathologist, a full range of laboratory services is available 24 hours a day.  A blood bank is maintained for your needs.

Surgery

Most commonly performed procedures include:  pacemaker insertions, endoscopies, cystoscopies, bronchoscopies, colonoscopies, cholecystectomies, laparoscopic procedures including lap chole and tubal ligations, prostate biopsies, breast biopsies and mastectomies, hysterectomies, D&C’s, appendectomies, hernia repairs, carpal tunnel, wound care and skin excisions. 

Wound Care

Chronic wounds or any wound which remains open for over 4 weeks needs special attention.  Underlying medical and physical conditions along with attention to nutrition and aggressive local treatment and coverage of the wound play an important role in healing the wound.  The Wound Care Program at Harrison Community Hospital is dedicated to diagnosing and treating a variety of wounds.  Our doctors and nurses work together with your primary care physician to establish an individualized plan of care, helping you to regain your optimal quality of life.
